Our Ambassadors

Casa Hogar is particularly proud of the support and involvement of two exceptional women who dedicate themselves heart and soul to the well-being of the street children at our Casa in Tulum, Mexico. As ambassadors, they give a face to our mission and help spread our message to a wider audience.

ANNE-MARIE VAN ACKER

As the wife of Doctor Michel D’Hooghe and a woman with a strong social commitment herself, Anne-Marie has dedicated herself for many years to social projects with a human dimension. Her warm personality and conviction make her a driven ambassador for Casa Hogar. With her network, enthusiasm, and commitment, she helps our organization connect more strongly with donors and supporters in Belgium.

MARIA-TERESA RODEA

Maria-Teresa lives in Tulum, Mexico, and is the founder and dedicated guardian of Casa Hogar in Tulum. Her daily presence and tireless commitment make her the beating heart of our work on the ground. Driven by a deep love for her country and its people, she helps build a safe home where children receive not only shelter, but also love, education, and a future.

Her strength, vision, and unwavering belief in the potential of every child inspire not only the team in Mexico but also our community in Belgium. Maria-Teresa is more than an ambassador – she embodies the soul of Casa Hogar.

Together, Anne-Marie and Maria-Teresa represent the values ​​of Casa Hogar: hope, commitment, and belief in a better future for every child.
